Unit 9 talks about Ubiquitous computing or Unicomp in health
care. You have learned that Ubicomp is the idea in software
engineering and computer science that you can enter data at anytime
or any place using many different types of devices, such as smart
phones, tablets, and wearables. From what you have learned about
performance improvement, create a process and an audit tool to
assess the integrity of the data coming from the patient’s wearable
device or a device used to measure the patient’s health outside of
the healthcare setting (i.e. portable glucose monitor). Does this
information become part of the patient’s legal health record? Or is
it just “additional” information for the provider? What type of
information do physicians want to see?
